Jochen Krobath behind Wildstahl
My name is Jochen Krobath, born in 1996 in Bruck an der Mur, Austria. Under the artist name Wildstahl, I create contemporary steel artworks that bring together traditional craftsmanship, modern technology, and emotional expression.
My work begins where cold, lifeless steel transforms into something living. Using precise laser-cutting technology combined with creative CAD planning and intensive hand-finishing, each piece develops depth, presence, and a strong interaction between light and shadow.
Every artwork tells a story — about identity, inner tension, and the contrasts that shape us as individuals and as a society. Steel becomes a medium of emotion: sharp yet fragile, controlled yet intuitive.
My pieces range from large-scale wall artworks and layered reliefs to abstract portraits. Stylistically, I move between abstraction and figuration, always guided by emotional symbolism.
Wildstahl is not static. It is movement, transformation, and emotion shaped in metal.
